[00:00:21] Speaker B: Glory pedagog.
[00:00:27] Speaker C: Yes. Good evening, everyone.
[00:00:29] Speaker B: Hey, good evening, my brother.
[00:00:31] Speaker C: Amen. Yes.
[00:00:35] Speaker B: I'm so happy to hear you, brother.
[00:00:37] Speaker C: Yes. My apologies for my lateness.
[00:00:40] Speaker B: We were just setting the house in order.
You know, I'm glad that you.
Your step, your steps were hastened by the Holy Spirit to get here. And I thank God for you and your wife. God bless you.
[00:00:53] Speaker C: Well, God bless you. Thank you for that.
[00:00:56] Speaker B: You're welcome, brother. God bless you. And I was just explaining to our brothers and sisters on the line.
I call it the brothers and sisters on the lunch line because they here to eat and you. And the chef is in the house and the person of Pastor Stickman. God is so good. Go ahead, chef. You all right with me. So we. We're starting again at.
I was saying to them that we. We're in Acts, chapter three.
The heading for that verse three is the healing of the. The lame man.
And that goes from verse 1 to verse 10.
After that it starts Peter's sermon. So I don't know if you want to overlap.
I don't know if you wanted to overlap and go into like from verse 1 to 10 and then go into Peter's sermon from 11.
Wow. Peter's sermon is long. And it goes. It goes on to 27.
So that's. I'll leave that to you and your discretion, my brother, to how far you want to glean in this. This particular word.
Glory be to God.
[00:02:19] Speaker C: Glory to God. Yes. Praise God.
[00:02:22] Speaker B: Holding us up any longer.
I'm going to turn the line over to our dear brother, Pastor Strickland, and he'll take us further in the word.
Hallelujah. Pastor Strickland is all yours.
[00:02:37] Speaker C: Hallelujah. Okay, thank you. And hallelujah. And again, good. Good evening, everyone.
Yes, I'm going to.
I'll start at again, chapter three, verse one, and then we'll see if we get to the second part, as you said, Peter's sermon, you know, but I will say this is. That this is the.
The second time, you know, this is a repetition, if you will, of Peter, for Peter, you know, because you recall previously he stood up and. And gave a, you know, a great sermon.
So we can count on Peter for that, you know. So, yes, this is.
Some call this the lame, you know, the healing of the lame man. There are other titles, you know, that are more direct in the sense that it speaks to the power, you know, and I think that's where we're going to come from with this, is that this lame man is healed not by Peter, you know, but by the power of Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit.
And I believe that that is.
Yeah, that is what Peter begins to emphasize not only in these first 10, 11 verses, but also throughout his sermon. You know, one thing we, we can count on from all of the apostles is the fact that they are not talking about themselves and, and what they did and who they are and how.
How much power they have, but they are always pointing back to their teacher, their master, their.
Their Lord and Savior, you know, which is our teacher, our master, our Lord and Savior.
All right, so let me read. I'm going to read directly out of the. The King James Version tonight.
Chapter three, verse one.
Now, Peter and John went up together into the temple at the hour of prayer being the ninth hour.
And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple, which is called beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple, who, seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple, asked an alms.
And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, look on us.
And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
Then Peter said, silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.
And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up. And immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
And he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered with them into the temple, walking and leaping and praising God.
And all the people saw him walking and praising God. And they knew that it was he which sat for alms at the beautiful gate of the temple. And they were filled with wonder and amazement at that which had happened unto him. And as the lame man which was healed held Peter and John, all the people ran together unto them in the porch that is called Solomon's, greatly wondering, okay, so that's 1 through 11.
So we'll see if we go further. We'll let the Holy Spirit lead us from here.
[00:06:47] Speaker B: Yes. Praise God.
[00:06:48] Speaker C: Praise God.
All right, so here we have two.
Two of the apostles headed towards the temple for prayer.
Now, in my King James Version, the phrase being an hour, the two words being an hour are highlighted during italics.
So the ninth hour, three o' clock in the afternoon, that's pretty much the same time some years Ago. Yeah, some time ago that Jesus said, it is finished.
It's interesting that they chose that particular time. Now, it doesn't tell us that they go to the temple on a daily basis or regular basis, but it does tell us that the man who is lame, who was carried there, he goes on a daily basis.
And it tells us that he's not a young child they're speaking about. He's been this way since he was born.
So he's very skilled at this. He's. He's what we would see as a professional beggar. You know, he's not out here, you know, oh, this tragedy happened to me. You know, my house caught fire, whatever. You know, I lost my job. You know, can you help me out? This type of thing. And, you know, some.
Some emergency need has come up and he's just out trying to. To make ends meet for a short period of time while he gets it together and then can go on with his life.
This guy has been doing this. He can't walk, which means that he has people that carry him to the gate. So he must generate an income enough so that he can have people carry him on a regular basis.
You see, it's one thing, you know, to have someone, yeah, I'll be able to help you out, but at my convenience, you know, I'm busy. I got things to do. So when I can't help you, I will.
No, this. He's going there on a daily basis.
You know, he knows how to get their attention, and he does that.
So this guy is not. I'm not saying that he's dishonest, but I'm saying that he's good at what he does.
And I'm also saying that because he's good at what he does, he's able to have people help him on a consistent basis.
So what we can take away from that is just that, is that we need to get good at what we do.
Not so much to generate the income, but to generate the help.
You know, we can't. And it's not designed for us to. To do this work alone.
Now, we can pray alone and we can receive from God revelation alone. The Holy Spirit can lead us alone, but the actual work we should do in concert, we should do with each other. You know, we should do it in such a way that it draws the attention. Because as Peter does this often and he has John with him when he gets up and he does something like this, he draws a great deal of attention.
And it's not so much to say that, look at me. This is what I'm doing. But it is to say that he has now the opportunity to lead numbers of people to Christ.
And that's the real point here. This is not about this lame man as much as we try to make it about him being healed.
It is about him being healed immediately by the Holy Spirit because they use the name of Jesus, you know, and that's what this is really about. It's the name of Jesus is using it in such a way that it has the power that is designed to have, that is intended to have.
And when we read this in our.
[00:11:43] Speaker B: Verse seven, this call will be recorded.
[00:11:46] Speaker C: And when we, when we read this in verse seven, it says, and he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones and receive strength.
Now the words that we use here, his feet and ankle bones, you know, it puts a.
An image in our. In our minds, but it doesn't give us the full image because the actual words are more like medical terms, you know. So we have a real solid proof medically that this man was healed based just upon the words that are used to describe his healing.
See, so, yeah, we have our issues, you know, our. Our bodies that we have now are not designed in this natural world to last forever.
So we have to trust God. We have to trust the God in other people, you see, and that's what is so important when we have ailments, infirmities, and in need of assistance.
That ability to discern spirits is so important for the Christian because you can discern whether this one is truly working or God and allowing God to use them to heal you or not.
So it's not so much about the treatment that you receive and how you receive the treatment, but who is applying the name of Jesus that actually is the one that does the healing.
And that's where what this is to me, that, okay, we pray and we say, and when we petition, that's what we say in the name of Jesus. In the name of Jesus. So are we saying it because that's the way we were taught? Are we saying it because that's what we hear others saying? Are we saying it because we believe the power is in the name of Jesus? Is it coming from your heart that you really believe? Because this man who calls to, out to Peter and John, who sees them and recognizes that they may have something for him, but he's not thinking in that line, he's looking for them to give him some silver and some gold, something of value that he can use to continue to sustain himself, which can mean that he was not really a believer, you understand, so his faith is not what healed him, you see, and that's, that's important to understand that all of this is designed to point to God. Now, we understand that he knows about God because once he is healed, he praises God.
So again, when we allow ourselves to, to be utilized for the work, then what we should expect is for the work to be completed and that the people who we are ministering to praise God, they give God the glory.
[00:15:47] Speaker A: You.
[00:15:47] Speaker C: Know, and that's, that's critical in understanding. So, you know, we have to understand that Christ Jesus, he healed by his own authority, and apostles healed in the name of Jesus, so they are given the authority to use the name of Jesus.
You know, so in, in some circles, you know, in the natural world, you know, people ask you that question, you know, who sent you?
By what authority are you doing this?
Oh, well, the chief inspector, you know, he sent me to come and inspect such and such. You know, here's my, my credentials that allow me to come into this building and do this work. You know, I'm, you know, I have my, my university certificates. I've got my doctorate or whatever. So I'm, I am authorized to do this kind of work.
And that's what the apostles had.
That's what we have. We have the authorization from the work of Jesus to use his name to do the work.
And so when we do the work, we have to make sure that we mean it, that it's coming from our heart, that we are, in fact using the name of Jesus. Because that's the tool, that's the power.
Not that I have, you know, the strength and the power.
Yes, I can be a doctor, and you can sprain your ankle, break your ankle, and I can do the necessary procedures to help fix it. And that's, you know, to understand that. You know, that I can give you the medications that will help.
I can put you in the position to receive the power. I can give you the word, the understanding of the power of Jesus that will heal you.
But that's me helping you to be healed. That's not me healing.
And that's the difference. That's what goes on here.
So what we have to do then is recognize that he is alive.
After the resurrection and his ascension. He is alive.
That's what Peter is telling them, showing Jesus is alive, doing this work as ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
That's the only title that we need.
All the other titles that we can accumulate that we can receive are basically organizational titles.
Oh, you're a doctor of medicine, doctor of psychology, or you're the chief engineer.
You're Pastor Joseph. These are all, all titles that are for organizational purposes.
The real title, the one that, that I need to have, is minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. There's only one gospel, there's only one doctrine, and that's the doctrine and gospel of Jesus Christ.
So I'm a minister of that and that's it. Everything else, again, as I said, is for organizational purposes. Oh, that's pastor. So he must be running this section of it. That's bishop. He's running that section. That's the apostle. He's doing that. Oh, that one is over there. Is in the deliverance ministry, but he is not the deliverer.
And we have to recognize that. We have to accept that in our heart so that we function properly and really get the work done.
You know, because when it says in, in verse nine, and all the poor, all, all the people saw him walking and praising God, okay, so here's somebody.
We all know who it is.
Oh, that's so and so. And he's been that way for as long as I've known him, you know, he's crazy. You know, leave him alone.
You know, he's got this issue. Leave him alone, you know. Oh, that, that one over there. Yeah, you can talk to him, but be careful how you talk.
You know, those type. That type of stuff. No, speak the word in the name of Jesus, you know, and that doesn't mean that you actually have to say those words in the name of Jesus. But you have to come with the same character, the same righteousness, the same lifestyle that Jesus had.
You know, if you go back in history, you know, and we see that this king or that king sent a messenger to some other king and they would come in and they would say that I'm coming in the name of the king.
That means that I'm the representative of the king and that however you would treat the king, that's the way you should treat me. But I have to act like it.
I can't come in the name of the King and act a fool.
And that's what we have sometimes going on here. People are professing to be coming in the name of Jesus, to be utilizing the name of Jesus, and they just flat out crazy. They acting a fool. They're not doing it. They're not doing the work, they're not doing it properly.
And they're actually coming in some other name disguised as coming in the name of Jesus. And that's what the Bible tells us. You know, God used the name.
You know, one of the examples is this, you know, the divisions that have occurred between men and women, you know, and there's no real reason for it, because if you go all the way back to Genesis, the early, the early verses, you'll find that God used the name Adam and he called Adam and Eve Adam.
So a human, a man of God is someone, is a human that doesn't seek the glory for himself, but gives all the glory to God, you know, and, and the level of that humility is crucified flesh is coming in the name of Jesus.
So who sent you? Jesus.
Why are you here? Jesus.
What are you going to do? Jesus.
You see, and that's the way we have to do it. You know, we talked once before about called, prepared and chosen. So that means that we do the work by God, we study thoroughly knowledge to become thoroughly knowledgeable so that we can be approved, so that we can be anointed by God to go out and rightly divide the word. And that means to go out and do the work in truth, to do the true work, you know, so when we utilize the name of Jesus in, in private meaning, in prayer, it's fine.
And it's also fine when we use the name privately in terms of corporate prayer. So we come on this line and, and so, and so prays in the name of Jesus and they're praying to cover all of us in the name of Jesus.
And so when that occurs, when that happens, then what we have to recognize is that that phrase in the name of Jesus is authorizing us to utilize that power to allow ourselves to be the vessels that God can use.
So when they get to this beautiful gate and they're on the porch, that is called Solomon, right?
Recognize that this gate, this beautiful gate, although Peter is offering them silver, saying, not offering, he's saying that he doesn't have silver and gold.
But this gate is beautiful not because it's silver and gold, but because it's bronze, you see? So what is valuable?
You know, God tells us to, to store up our treasures in heaven. So what is valuable?
You know it.
What do you think is valuable?
You see, the. In the world, they say he who has the gold makes the rules.
Yeah, but they make the rules for who?
For those that think that the gold is valuable.
You see, that what we. What you think is valuable is what you do to receive that value.
So the silver, he's sitting there wanting to receive Silver and gold, forgetting what is really valuable to him.
Because the silver and gold, he's been collecting it for a long time, understand? He's collecting it for a long time, but it has no real value because he gets it and he uses it. And then he's got to go get more. He's got to go get more. He's got to go get more.
But the word of God, once you have it in you, it's in you, and you have it.
The people, when they see this happen there, they are amazed.
There is.
And it's, it's really strange how, how we as people, we, how we are, how we respond, how we act, you understand?
The, the amazement, it's really shouldn't be there.
These are not people that don't know anything about the Messiah. They don't. These are not people that don't know anything about the life, you know, Peter was talking about.
You know, we'll see later. He calls him cause Jesus, the, the prince.
Well, in some translations of the word in different languages, that also means the source.
So Jesus is the source.
Jesus is the source of light.
Right? That's what John said at the very beginning, you know, so for these people to, oh, you see a miracle, then why should you be filled with wonder and amazement?
You know, the, the. The Antichrist is coming and, and he's going to do a lot of signs and wonders, and people are going to be filled with wonder and amazement. Oh, why? All the people saw him walking and praising God.
They should have all been walking and leaping and praising God. I mean, that a whole, a whole praise service should have broke out.
And then, you know, that, that's what should happen. You know, we, you know, it, it should be spontaneous. It can't be planned. It can't be, oh, this happened. Oh, let me praise God. It's got to come from the heart. It's got to come from within. It should be automatic.
You know, the, the, the relationship that we have with God, with the Son, with the Holy Spirit, is, Is exemplified in this healing.
It's immediate, you know, you know, you know, we know Peter, he, you know, he doesn't, you know, he doesn't fool around with things like that. You know, he, you know, he said this to the guy, rise up and walk. And he didn't wait for the guy to, to respond. He picked him up.
He's looking for the immediate reaction. He wants it. This, this should happen immediately, you know, and that's sometimes what we need. We need that immediacy, that urgency that, that, that Desire not to see the miracle happen, but the opportunity to praise God, you know, yes, it would be great. You know, people are walking around, oh, wow.
It would be really great to see something happen that proves that Jesus is alive and well.
It's, that's okay, but it's beyond that. It's, what are you going to do when you see it, you know, and that's, that's what's so important, you know.
You know, the giving of, of arms was, you know, and still is, you know, and should be a portion of your life, some portion of your life, because it's, it's required. You know, the Bible tells us that, that our, our responsibility is the, the, the widows and the fatherless, right? So that's what our responsibility should be. You know, that the opportunity to give what we have, not so much to make the life of the person easier, but the opportunity for the person that you are giving the alms to and yourself to praise God.
Because we know that if we do that, then God works with us. So we never giving all that we have, we can never give all that we have because God has more.
And that's where, that's where it's important. That's what is important. Recognizing that in the name of Jesus.
And I'm gonna go back to the, the first verse again, you know, the hour of prayer, you know, we, we have to get into that more.
You know, there are times when, when God is working on us in such a way that we are concentrated into one thing.
Our focus is concentrated by God, by the Holy Spirit.
And so at times, corporate prayer becomes secondary.
Although we are instructed to assemble together, but when we come together, we have to come together as it tells us in spirit and in truth. We have to be honest with ourselves. We ourselves have to come as righteous vessels, which means that at times we have to go into that closet and clear out so that we can come together and, and be effective.
Because it, even though it tells us that the, the prayer of a righteous, you know, prophetess. Anna. Yes, that individual prayer, intercessory prayer. God, you know, speaks to you in the night season and shows you someone that you don't know, then in all likelihood that's someone that you need to pray for. You don't know who it is.
Sometimes we don't even know what to pray about, but yet we can pray.
And that's so important. And so then the times that we pray, you know, some cultures, some religions, they dictate the time that you should pray.
That's fine.
I really don't have a problem with having a set time for prayer.
But at the same time, you should always, as far as believers in Jesus is concerned, always be prepared to pray as the Holy Spirit leads, when the Holy Spirit leads, as how the Holy Spirit leads, where the Holy Spirit leads. Understand? That's, that's who we are. That's what it's really about. You know, that's pray without ceasing. So that means all the time we should be ready to pray all the time we should be in some form of prayer. Everything that you do should be in prayer so that life, the life that you live is prayer.
If I, if you've, you know, jump to, to the Book of Revelations and you'll find what some of those prayers are, how they are used.
So it's so important, you know, in verse 5 says, and he gave heed unto, unto them, expecting to receive something of them.
You know, when Peter says, look on us, you know, we don't really need to have someone that we're going to give, you know, some coins to. Few dollars to, you know, they're out on the street begging. You know, you walk by, you drop the stuff in and, and you keep it moving.
So he's telling him to take heed, to see us, to recognize who we are, to see us for what we are.
They're calling on him to clear his eyes, to open his eyes, to see where his help is coming from.
When we minister to people for whatever reason, that's what's really important is that we get their attention because they can be under the influence of oppression, possession. You know, the adversary is all in the mix with them. So you want to make sure that you are clearing that out.
You know, so this is like, that's what is happening here. You know that he has this issue from birth and we're getting a medical explanation of it. So it's not really a matter of demonic possession.
It's not really about a casting out of demons, but it is about a healing.
And so it becomes critical again to recognize that difference.
What is it that God is calling you to do?
What is it that you can do for this person that is in front of you now that you have their attention?
Because see this one, this lame man, he saw them, so he had the them in view.
Now when he. They're being, when he's being told to look on us, you know, now, now the healing begins. Now the, the real action takes place. Now we know what we're going, why we're here, what we're going to do.
So Peter and John are looking directly at them and they see what the issue is and they speak the Word and that's what that discernment of spirit is about. That's what we need to be able to do as we go. We need to be able to see who it is in front of us, who it is that we're passing by and what is it that they need.
Knowing that if we ask anything in the name of Jesus, he will do it.
So we don't really have to stop and drop coins in there and say, okay, the, when he touches the coins, then he will be healed. You know, we don't have to call a bunch of people together, let's all get together and, and stand around this person and pray for him and so forth and so on. A lot of these things that we do are ceremonies and, and to draw attention when all you really have to do is say in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, rise up and walk, or whatever it is that needs to be said.
But the main thing that needs to be said in a way that makes it true is the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth.
So it's a, it's a good story to, to stir people up, to get them to go out and do the work. But it has to be understood that John and Peter did not heal this man, that we are not healers, we are not deliverers. You know, we are not anything but the ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ and we are called to minister to those who are not.
So now this man jumps up, walking and leaping and praising God.
By him doing that, he's ministering to the people around him and many come to, you know, as, as expected.
Yeah. So I, I am going to stop here and we'll deal with that, that sermon next time. But yeah, you know, I said it before, I really like Peter.
Peter is, you know, to me, Peter is, you know, one of my, you know, my favorite books.
[00:42:08] Speaker B: Glory to God. Glory, Praise God and thank you so much, Pastor Strickland.
Wow. You know, there's so much that could be gleaned out of the Word and in fact it's not really to mount up on everything because the Word is very clear.
It really is self explanatory if you, if you ingest it in the spirit of God, you know, as Pastor Strickland was gleaning over the Word and slicing off a piece unto us, you know, the things that I, I, I was thinking about the man that was left at the gate and how Pastor Strickland was Talking about the friends that he needed. He needed friends to take him there every time. 3 o' clock in the afternoon. He had to be on point.
Whether he's, like Pastor Strickland said, a professional beggar or whatever, he still needed friends. We can't operate like you hear people say, I'm a self made millionaire, I'm self made, I did it all myself.
Well, that's a lie.
But nobody is self made, praise the Lord. Nobody. But I thought about the forefront of the paralyzed man and they, they carry their print, climbed up to the roof, tore up the roof, put their friend before Jesus.
And like Pastor Strickland said, wasn't Peter. It was the power of Jesus Christ. It was the power of the Father, the Holy Spirit.
It was. And before Jesus, the, the man was healed. Now the man in front of this gate. Beautiful.
Which I, I was doing a little gleaning about, you know, this, this gate. Beautiful. Well, it must have been a beautiful gate because the thing about what I gleaned out of it was that this gate was the entrance to going into God's presence.
So if you really seeking the Lord, you got to go through a gate, you got to go towards God. Sometimes God don't always seek you up, sometimes you gotta seek God out. And the thing is, they were going through that gate and like Pastor Stickland said, they were going to give God glory and praise in the name of their prayers as they looked up prayers unto the everlasting God, the Lord of hosts.
I was just thinking about how, you know, when we, you know, the Pastor Stickling touched on the subject, immediate healing.
A lot of people would like to see somebody, you know, you would like to walk in and just say, you know, in the name of Jesus, and touch them and they jump up.
But a lot of times it happens, but not in our time span. It's not immediate.
That makes a lot of people walk away because they're looking for immediate, but it don't happen immediately. God has a plan.
It doesn't just always pop up like, oh, come on, let's go, you know, but some people call it faith healing, but Pastor Strickland touched on it out of the book of James, chapter five. And the prayers of a righteous man avail of much.
Then it talks about laying hands on that person.
But what kind of hand?
Not just any hand, not dirty hands, not clean hands, but hands that believe that Jesus, you can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens us.
So glory be to God for that. You know, there's so many things and our Time is dead. I want. I want to let my brothers and sisters get in on this conversation.
Is there anyone that likes to speak into this conversation?
[00:46:51] Speaker A: Brother Thomas?
[00:46:53] Speaker B: Yes.
[00:46:54] Speaker A: God bless you.
I just wanted to go back to our lesson in chapter two.
Remember when they were told to go to.
[00:47:08] Speaker B: They were told to go to the.
[00:47:09] Speaker A: Upper room so that they can be endowed with power, power of the Holy Spirit.
Holy Spirit is going to help them when all of those fiery darts are thrown against them. And Holy Spirit is going to direct them even further and be with them right by their sides.
Now, in this lesson right here, remember, I just wanted to remind you also, when Peter went to stand up, Pastor Strickland touched on that. When he, you know, stood up, he spoke in such a way that even those that were trying to march him and try to make him feel some way, he spoke in such a way that.
[00:47:48] Speaker B: That he, you know, the people looked.
[00:47:50] Speaker A: Upon him, looked upon him in a different way.
[00:47:54] Speaker B: Why?
[00:47:55] Speaker A: Because he spoke with an authority.
The Holy Spirit gave him an authority to speak over a thing, regardless of what that thing is. He spoke. And when we don't feel good in our body when something is going on and we use that with the power of the Holy Spirit, things start to happen.
God moves because of our faith. Our faith is so built up that things start to happen and the heavens open up and. And things move for us.
We look at Mark 11, I think it's 11:23, and it tells us when we believe, when we trust God and we ask for a thing. The Pastor Strickland was speaking on this.
We ask God for something. God will move, but it's on a thief also. That's locked into the power of the Holy Spirit. And we will speak with authority over that thing. You tell your body, you lay your hand on your body, you say, I declare and I decree that you are gone. You have no place in me. You speak over yourself. That's why we have the scriptures and we speak through the power of the Holy Spirit. It's an authority that comes in line with the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank you.
[00:49:07] Speaker C: Praise God.
[00:49:08] Speaker B: Bless the Lord. Praise God. Yes. Hallelujah. Glory be to God. And, and. And in these scriptures and in the gleaning in which we have been all blessed to be a part of the. The greeting of this word is that Pastor Striglingham always signed off at the end of whatever he said that it had to be done in the power of Jesus Christ.
So therefore, it's a closer relationship that we need. Thank you, Minister Regina, for that so we. We hasten on. And is there anyone else that would like to have a word this evening?
[00:49:52] Speaker A: And the most thing that I loved about it, that he went about praising the Lord after God had. Did what he. What he did for him.
And that's what we have to remember, to always give God praise for what he does for us. Because it's only through God that things happen for us. It's only through God and no one else. So we're just gonna keep on praising God, keep giving God glory and honor for the things that he are doing and has done for his people. So I really enjoy the lesson tonight, and thank you so much, Pastor Strickland and brother Thomas.
[00:50:35] Speaker B: Bless you, my sister.
[00:50:37] Speaker C: God bless you.
[00:50:37] Speaker B: God is so good.
[00:50:39] Speaker A: Hallelujah, man.
[00:50:40] Speaker B: We're all still on the wall, so let us stay on the wall and pick the bridge. Hallelujah.
So, Pastor Strickland, we're about to time out of here, so is there any final words you would like to leave us with?
[00:50:58] Speaker A: Can I just say something right quick, please?
[00:51:00] Speaker C: Oh, yes, please.
[00:51:02] Speaker A: Yes, yes. I. I love when press the. Strickland said that when people get silver and gold, they keep. Keep wanting that. But once you get the word of God, you already have it. And you ain't gonna keep on wanting one like you want money, because once that word of God giving you, it's in you. And I also want to speak on what Memphis is. Regina said that you got to possess that. You got the claim and you got to own it. Because I have a friend like, she been saved seven or eight years. And three years ago, she only 45 years old, she end up on dialysis. And she called me the other day, which would be tomorrow, would be a week, that she received a kidney. She was on dialysis for three years, and she said she was trusting. She was just telling God, this is my year, this is my season, before my birthday, I'm gonna have a kidney. I trust you. She said she was just claiming it and she was holding on to it. And here it is in September. She received a kidney because she believed it and she planned on that word. And she was claiming that. She said every day she wake up, she was going to each one of her rooms, just claiming there, holding on to it. And I'm so glad that they brought that to a point, because it's confirmation that you got to know it, you got to believe, you got to hold on to it, you got to speak it, because God already gave us the power to speak that over our life. We can speak Healing. We can speak joy, we can speak peace. We ain't got to speak about that, sibling Gold. But you're gonna want more and more and more. But when you got that word, you're gonna have it. You wanna pass it. So when people see you doing it and walking it, they gonna want some of it. So I just thank you guys for Bible study on Monday. Monday, same ministry, demon. Just thank God for all of our family that come on to hear the Word and we can pass the Word. Thank you so much.
[00:52:56] Speaker C: Praise God. Thank you.
[00:52:57] Speaker B: God bless you, my sister. Yes, yes. Yes, there is a word. And the question went out, is there a word from the Lord? And yes, there always is.
Hallelujah.
It's all yours.
[00:53:14] Speaker C: Okay, well, only thing I have is a reading assignment, so. And that would be Isaiah, chapters 40 all the way through 50, so it's a lot. So however the Spirit leads you, that's Isaiah, chapter 40 and chapter 50.
[00:53:37] Speaker B: Oh, praise God. Praise God. Isaiah 40 through 50. Ten verses. I mean, well, yes, yes.
[00:53:45] Speaker C: No, that's two. That's two.
[00:53:46] Speaker B: I mean, well, I don't know exactly how many verses.
[00:53:49] Speaker C: Oh, okay. There's two chapters. Yeah. Two chapters. Yeah. Okay. Just to be clear. Yeah.
[00:53:54] Speaker B: Is that. That's the way it goes.
[00:53:57] Speaker C: Yes.
[00:53:59] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:53:59] Speaker A: All right.
[00:54:00] Speaker B: So. Yeah. So I trust everyone got that.
At your leisure, please. You know. You know, check it out.
