And, you know, we just want to ask God to take the stage because it's not about us. And we know every curse must be broken in Jesus name. Hallelujah. Amen. [00:05:23] Speaker B: Hallelujah. [00:05:25] Speaker A: Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. I just feel like worshiping this morning, but the glory be to God. But today we're going to talk about understanding curses. Understanding curses. And this is a. A big topic because I believe each and every not believe. I know each and every one of us are involved. Amen. [00:05:52] Speaker C: Amen. [00:05:53] Speaker A: Each and every one of us are involved from the beginning of time. Adam started this off and we're still here in 2025 trying to understand it, trying to break it, and trying to make sure that our families and our generations behind us, you know, are delivered in Jesus name. So understanding curses. So what is a curse really? What is a curse? And you know, the lesson says, as ministers of the gospel of Christ Jesus, we should understand what the biblical meaning of a curse is. Amen. So as ministers of the gospel of Christ Jesus, we should understand what a biblical. What the biblical meaning of a curse is. Because, you know, Jesus's work while he was here on earth was really deliverance and breaking all of these curses and all of this stuff. And it's just really interesting because, you know, the question came to me, like when Jesus was here on earth and, and Pastor Joe, maybe you can give us a little insight into this. Was curses there then when he was here, you know, when Jesus was here on earth doing this work, was curses on the earth at that time. [00:07:25] Speaker C: Oh yeah, yeah. You, you recall Balaam was called to curse the Jews. [00:07:35] Speaker A: Curse the Jews. That's right. That's right. Yeah, that's right. Because, you know, this question comes up all the time, what are we talking about? So it's really important to clarify that. So it says, you know, a curse. As we get into the lesson, it's important declaration or action that invokes supernatural harm bringing ill fortune or negative consequences upon a person, a group, you know, and for disobedience or opposition to God. Let me just say that again, a curse is a potent declaration or action that invokes supernatural harm bringing importune and negative consequences upon a personal group for disobedience or opposition to God. And those curses can be spoken words, they can be written, pronouncement, or even inherited patterns of rebellion and sin leading to negative outcomes like scarcity, which is poverty, isolation, painful relationships, etc. Etc. Etc. So it is reasonable to look at the first mention of the word curse in the Bible, Genesis 3, 14, 17 and reads, and the Lord God said unto the serpent, I'm sorry, because thou has done this, thou art cursed above all the cattle, above every beast of the field. Upon thy belly thou shalt go, and thus shall thou eat all the days of thy life. Hallelujah. All the days of thy life. And I will put enmity between thee and the woman and between thy seed and her seed. And we're wondering today why we labor pains and why are we arguing. Daughters arguing with their, with their mothers and sons arguing with their, their fathers and having disruption. It says, it shall be bruised, it shall bruise thy head and thou shalt bruise thy heel. Unto the woman he said, I will multiply thy sorrow and thy conception. In sorrow thou shalt bring forth children and thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee. So let me stop here for a minute. You know, in, in, in counseling and domestic violence, which we're challenged so much with this, this very line of scripture where you know, you shall rule over us. See, the Bible says that women ought to be a help meet for their husbands, right? But a lot of males have it that we are rulers. And so the conflict begins. Hallelujah. And unto Adam he said, thou shalt has. Thou has hearkened unto thy voice of thy wife and has eaten of the tree of which I command thee, saying thou shalt not eat of it curses the ground for thy sake and sorrow shall thou eat of it all the days of thy life. So poverty came and pain came and disruption came. All in this one area of this word because of that one sin that Adam and Eve committed. So in the text of Scripture, we do not have man being cursed, rather the serpent in including its descendants and the ground or earth. So it's rather the serpent including its descendants and the ground of the earth. So it's, it's really important to study this part of this, the Scriptures, because when we do, we get a better understanding of curses and what it means. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. See, the text of Scripture do not have man been cursed. Rather, the serpent included its descendants and the ground of the earth. So when, when we, when we continue in the text, you see, this is why sometimes it can become a little confusing, right? Because then the Bible says in Exodus that, you know, you're cursed up to the third and fourth generation. And here it is saying, you know, the scripture did not have man being cursed, rather the serpent including his descendants and the ground of the earth. So we'll get into that a little later on. So the Hebrew word for cursed in this text of Scripture is ara, meaning to execrate, to declare, to be evil or detestable, denounce, detest utterly. Hallelujah. So stay with me now. So the American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language defines a curse as an appeal to a supernatural power or evil or injury to befall someone or something. So it's a, it's an appeal to a supernatural power for evil or injury to befall someone or something. So in other words, someone is going to go to a covenant to take your name, to take some money, to take, you know, your picture or whatever article they deem necessary, and they will go to that supernatural power for evil or injury to befall you or whatever you're doing or your family. So it is, it is evil or injury that is invoked someone or something. Right? So we have quite a bit of. And I'm, I'm, I think I'm, I'm struggling here a bit because I want to delve into, into a whole lot of it, but I want to take my time to help you to understand because it's not everyone here who has gone through the course before. So I just want to take my time to explain. Explain. And if you have questions, please, you know, write them down so we can go through them at the end of the, the, the, the course. Amen. At the end of the lesson. So we have types of curses. Before we move on to the lesson, we have different types of curses, right? So we, we, we, we already said that a curse is an appeal to a supernatural power or evil to befall injury to someone or something. So what are some of the type of those curses? Because it's not just one type of curse. Amen. So number one, you know, there are divinely pronounced curses. God can curse individuals or nations for their rebellion and violation of his laws, resulting in negative spiritual and societal effects. Amen. So that would be the first one, divinely pronounced curses where, where God can curse an individual or a nation for their rebellion. Hallelujah. And let's see, I think Exodus 34 and 7 will give us a little more on that. Hallelujah. Exodus 4 and 7 will give us a little more on that. Okay, so all right, so the second one would be human initiated curses where, where people will curse each other. Right. So you go to whomever and you put a curse on whomever you deem. And then we have inherited curses. These are negative patterns, example incest, anger, poverty and so forth and so on. Okay, so then we have self imposed curses. Those are the ones where you perform those negative self declarations. Right. And you can bring a curse on yourself. Amen. All right, so let's move on. So as we move into the, the lesson, you know, we will delve more into, into some of these different curses. All right, so it, so it says now that is it evil or injury that is invoked to someone or something, a curse, that which brings or causes evil is couch any profane oath to invoke evil, calamity or injury upon a person to, to damn, to, to bring evil upon or afflict. Hallelujah. So you have gone to the coven. We're not saying you, I'm saying the person would have gone to the coven and you know, they got the, the evil witch or wizard or whatever it is and they would say, you know, speak things and calamity, injury, and all of these things can come to a flesh, affect the person up to whom they have gone to these demonic forces to whatever to do. So in limited terms, a curse is evil or injury that is invoked or spoken against and befalls someone, some place or something by supernatural power. So don't think that, that curses are just for people or individuals or just families. Curses can affect a community, it can affect a family, it can affect a generation, it can affect a nation. And you know, as I said, when we go further into curses, we will understand that and, and given testimonies, live testimonies of people who. I remember, I believe it was last year, the year before we had a testimony of a man who now became A Christian. Okay. But he was a, one of those spiritual leaders in the past, and he was giving his testimony of how he was so powerful that he was in charge of the territory of California. You know, California, New York, I believe it was Canada, you know, all of these different areas. Right. And his job was to make sure that people don't prosper, to make sure that there was, you know, chaos in, in those cities, to make sure that, that things didn't go right, in other words, and there was no peace. And he gave that testimony and we were so shocked. Like one person, one gentleman was able to do that, but he wasn't general, you know, when you look at it. But now he has given his life to Christ and he's working now for the kingdom of God. Hallelujah. So those curses can be broken as well. And as we move on, we will see how that happens. So it is important that you understand that all curses are evil and are empowered by demonic entities. It is demonic spirits that have license or authority through the curse to afflict, injure, break, and come against a person, place, or things that is invoked against. Right. So they have the power. Remember, remember the, the devil came down with a third of those angels and those angels are working for him. So when people say to us, oh, you know, a curse don't exist, so what are the, what are the third of those angels doing here on earth with the devil if it doesn't exist? The Bible says whatever, you know, the, the, the, the, that devil is trying to, to mimic everything that God is doing. He's trying to mimic everything that God is doing. So yes, those, those, those powers, you know, those angels are there working for him. Amen. So, so curse can totally devastate a person's life. And often many people have never realized that they're, that they're terrible or continual trouble or circumstances are as a result of that curse that is operating against them. We talk about generations. I have seen people who I have left. I give this example quite often where even when I was a child in my country, I have left families and individuals in some communities. I go back now in 2025 and nobody has progressed. No one have progressed. And even if they have tried, okay, one person might have, you know, did well, okay. They have gone to school, you know, or somebody may have helped them or whatever, they always come back down. And so we are saying to you today, until that curse is broken, that this stuff will continue to hamper your life until something is done and you just see God's face and and make sure you learn how to break this curse so your children will be free and your generations will be free in Jesus name. Hallelujah. This can devastate a person's life. And sometimes, you know, the terrible part is that, you know, you don't even understand what is happening to you. Oh, there was a heart. Oh, my family, you know, oh, my dad had heart problems, so now I have heart problems. Oh, my mom was a diabetic and, and she had high blood pressure. So that's why it comes down from generations. Oh, this one had cancer. And so it goes down to. Ah. We break these curses in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Today we sabot them. We decree this day that we are children of the living God and who the son of man set free is free indeed. [00:22:26] Speaker C: Yes, Lord. Hallelujah. [00:22:28] Speaker A: Hallelujah. And so we decree our children, our grandchildren, our great grandchildren, to the fourth, to the fifth, to the tenth, to the fiftieth generation are free from this distraction, free from these illnesses, free from this poverty, free from this harassment in the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Most who are under curse don't even realize it due to the fact that they have no idea of the existence of curses. And for those who do know that they exist, they don't realize how the curse gain access to their life or how to cancel them. And if you don't read your Bible, if you don't seek to know how these things happen, why are they happening, then, you know, they will just continue to harass your children, harass your life, bring disruption and this dissatisfaction and, and, and sadness to your life for generations to come. We break that in Jesus name because God comes to give us life, and he comes to give us joy and, and he comes to give us peace, and we're going to have peace indeed. In the name of Jesus. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. We have seen this thing playing out over and over and over again, over and over. Oh, your father was in jail and, and you, you know the sad part about it? Look, I've worked in mental health and criminal justice for a very long time. The sad part of that is, you know, when the psychologist and the psychiatrist do that evaluation. Look, I was an evaluator for many years, and you know, they had a whole section where you have to deal with the, the drugs and alcohol and, and whether, you know, your family had history in criminal justice and alcohol and drugs and all of these things. So it means that. And domestic violence. Oh, we'll come to those things. And so, you know, I would always, as an evaluator would say, you know, it's not because, like, I would tell my patients all the time, it's not because your father went to jail that you have to go. It's not because he was an alcoholic that you have to be an alcoholic. It's not because he was a drug dealer. It's not because your mama was a prostitute that you have to be there. Hallelujah. It's not because your father or mother, you know, engaged in domestic violence that you have to do the same thing. Hallelujah. It's not because, you know your mother, okay, Like, I had one. One young client and, you know, like, he fought for so long because he didn't want anybody to know that his mother was schizophrenic. So. So he would, like, he would tell me, oh, she was undiagnosed, okay, but, you know, she wasn't well. So why then not help yourself by revealing that information? So we can help you now. You're getting sick, you're getting in jail, you're doing all of these things. And, you know, the shame was too much for him. So, you know, he refused to release that information. But now you. Now your whole life is destroyed until somebody can come to help you and to say, okay, well, we have to break this curse so you can move forward. I mean, smart, bright young man, God has scholarship at a very young age. But because of this thing that is following him, you know, his life is wrapped up in all of that stuff. And today we break those curses in the name of Jesus. Curses are reality that many don't believe that there exists. Yet the evidence of them being on the one is often evident. You don't believe they exist, but you look at your life, look at what is happening. Every year, something else is going on relating to the same thing that happened last year. Come on now. Come on now. Right? That sickness is returning, okay? You. You get healed. You're doing well. This. This year. Next year you're going back to the same thing. Sometimes it's the same time, the time released. So now it's. It's October. So here it comes again. The summer comes. Here it comes again. Oh, now it's April. Here it comes again. Hallelujah. We break those in Jesus name. Quite evident, but yet you don't believe they exist. Well, something is going on here. And so we have to make sure that, you know, we seek God's face and make sure these things don't interrupt our lives or our homes. Divorces. Hey, you know, where the enemy just comes in, everybody in the family. Nobody can stay married. Nobody can stay married, it says. As I was studying to prepare this lesson, I began to see why many communities are in the condition that they're in and why various people and groups are broken. I realized that the evidence of a curse was in the lives of so many people and people groups, communities, cities and nation. I trust that this teaching will equip you to understand the function of a curse, how to identify them in your lives and in the lives of the people and places, and ultimately how to cancel them. This is why you're here in this, in this class today. It's not by accident you're here. So I pray that you take notes and I pray that you listen to what God is saying to you. If you got, if you get one thing out of this lesson today, let it be the voice of God telling you how to overcome and how I'll help your family to overcome in Jesus name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. So the curse of the law. For a long time I had heard the phrase the curse of the law, and I did not fully understand what it actually was. Contrary to popular thought, it is not a curse that came upon all the people when. When adam sinned. Deuteronomy 27:25 26. Give us the answer. It says, curse be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that confirmed not all the words of this law to them. And all the people shall say Amen. The curse of the law is when people do not confirm, obey and keep all of the laws that God give to moses in Deuteronomy 27:15 to 26. So this curse is for disobedience to the instructions that God had given us as a guideline for the benefit of the people. So you don't do the things that God is saying. You know, there are blessings also in that verse if you go back and you read it. But if you don't do the things of God to receive those blessings. Yeah. There are also curses that will come upon a man. There's so many blessings also in the Bible. That is for us. Many, many, many, many, many blessings. But if you're disobedient to the things of God and you don't follow his instructions, then there are also consequences to those things to. To disobedience. Hallelujah. So what are some of those doorways to those to occurs? What are the doorways to a curse? What gives the Curse the right to afflict angel and cause evil to come against a person. What really gives the, the, the curse the right to afflict you, to injure or cause evil to come against you. You know, when I was a little girl, I remember my mom, who was a spiritual leader in her community, would always tell us, you know, nobody can curse you unless you allow that thing to happen. In other words, if, if sin is, is bringing your life. Yeah. A curse will stick. So whatever they're going to do, you know, she always says to make sure your hands are clean and pure. What does that mean? Make sure you don't go dabbing into evil. Because if you are going to dab into evil, don't think that you can come. Because look what man can see, God can see. God sees. He knows. He knows what you're doing. So if you're dabbing into evil and then you come back to God being all innocent, saying, oh, you know I'm innocent. God, no, no, he knows. So mom would always say, make sure your hands are clean and make sure you know you're pure so God can work through your life. And she would always say that to us, you know, so she says, when you have a clean, when you have clean hands and a pure heart, no curse has the right to afflict or injure you. People will. People go wherever they have to go to create, to, you know, to create that curse to, to. But it doesn't have the right to afflict you or for evil to come against you. And Mommy would always tell us that as children. And I always remember that. Hallelujah. So the only door that curses have to afflict a person is through disobedience and sin. And again, if you are not living right, you're not living in the will of God. Yeah. You know, that, that, that sin will affect you. You know, that sin would affect you. That curse will affect you. Live with a clean hands and a pure heart, with your body, your mind as a living sacrifice unto the God each and every day of your life. That's how you overcome curses. That, that, that being said, it's not that, you know, they wouldn't present themselves. They would probably present themselves every day. But you have to stand on God and you have to stand on God's word for your healing and, and deliverance each and every day. Just like how they can come every day at you, you have to come at them every day. With the blood of Jesus. I cancel this curse in the blood of Jesus. God, I put my children before your throne. I release Them back onto you. God, I release this, my life back onto you. My family, my marriage, God, you bless me with this marriage. God, I release it back onto you. God, every chain is broken. You got to be in that spirit every day because that curse is going to come to your door knocking every day. That sickness is going to come every day, knocking. You get delivered today, next week, a month, a year later, it's back. Hallelujah. You got to make sure you stand on God's grace for your healing every single day, for your breakthrough, every single day, and refuse to accept what the devil's throwing at you, what that curse is throwing at you in the name of Jesus. So the only door that curses have to affect a person is through disobedience and sin. Curses are the result of disobedience to God, which can afflict and injure not only the person who committed the sin, but also those under their authority. And this is so very important for the ministers here, for the pastors, for the apostles who would hear this later, for the bishops. I'm going to repeat it again, because sometimes when people are. Do you know, when you have ministries and you have authority over people's lives and you are not doing right, just know that those people under you are also affected by what you are doing. And that curse can also be transferred to them. So, look, you have to be mindful of your own life, that you make sure that you know you're living well and living right, that you don't affect other people's lives, who's under you, who you have authority to. To help and to heal and to admonish. So it's not only the person who committed the sin, but also those under their authority. So be careful, be mindful, because God will hold you accountable for those people's lives. Amen. The question that we must ask, however, is when God says that someone is cursed, is he. Is he causing evil to come upon someone, thus condoning evil? Right. But when God curses someone, it's not God bringing evil upon them. Rather, he allows the devil to plague someone through the doorways of disobedience. And sometimes to find that door, it's very hard because we look at ourselves and we say, God, what door have I opened? What have I done wrong? You know, people praying all the time, God, what have I done wrong? God, what have I done to deserve this? What have I done for my family to deserve this? And sometimes we don't think we have an open door. But the prayer now would be, God, you know, the doors that I can see, I pray to shut them. And the ones I can't see, God, the ones that I don't know about, please, I ask forgiveness. And please I ask you to close them in Jesus name. Because, you know, when we're angry, we make some oath to ourselves. And when we get better and that anger is gone, we never go back to cancel those oaths. [00:36:59] Speaker B: Right? [00:37:00] Speaker A: Right. When we're angry, we say things that we don't mean. But when we're doing better and the anger is gone, we never go back to ask forgiveness for those horrible things we have said. And maybe we have sent them to ourselves, maybe we have said them to somebody else. Amen. Amen. So we always have to. You know my, my prayer, usually when I pray, you know, I says, God, you know, help me for the, Forgive me for the sins that I have committed and the ones I have omitted. Because sometimes I forget I may have said some things, done some things that I may have forgotten. And so I'm asking God, you know, the ones I may have omitted, the ones I may have forgotten, please help me, forgive me so I can move forward. My children can be free and my generation can have peace and they can move forward and have a blessed and fulfilled life in Jesus name. My grandchildren, my. My great grandchildren up to the fourth, fifth generation, to the 10th generation, God, they can have deliverance and peace. God, none of these diseases will come against them. Poverty will be bound from their lives. Oh God and Father God, I ask for peace for them in Jesus name because I may not remember I had said those things. I may not have remember what I have, what I had done in anger. So I have to go back and I have to ask God, Lord, you know, I know I may have forgotten, but I know you remember. I know you remember those things. So please forgive me and help me to move forward in my life in the name of Jesus. So when a person refuses to obey the Lord's directives that would help keep the enemy out of their lives, they themselves put themselves in opposition to the word of God. That's given the enemy access to injure affliction and oppress them. So now you, you know, you're hurt, right? You lost your job or your marriage is in disarray. God forbid you had to go through a divorce. And I mean, you're saying these some things that you know, my God, even to your own self. You know, when you sit back and things clear up and you're wondering, God, those things I said about myself, you would never come to anything. I know I couldn't do this. I know that. I mean, all kind of negative things you have may have said to yourself about yourself, about your spouse, about your family. Got it. Look, that may have been a. Oh, is because maybe it's still current. I don't know for the lies of anyone at the sound of my voice. Right. But understand that, you know, those things that you're saying. I have heard people saying some horrible things about their children, Horrible, horrible things about their children, horrible things about their spouses, horrible things about their siblings. And sometimes, you know, I'm not saying it's not, it's not warranted because some siblings, some family members can really take you there. Right. But please, when, you know, when you get down from that angle, you better ask God right there, right now. God, forgive me, forgive me, Lord, for the things that I have said, for the things that I have done, because I know those things will affect me later on. Hallelujah. Those things will affect me later on. So God, I pray that you just forgive me, forgive me for those things. In Jesus name. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. You know, when we look at Genesis 12, Abraham, you know, because sometimes you may ask, you know, can curses really be on a Christian? And we look at Father Abraham and Genesis In Genesis 12, we find Abraham lying about to favor about his relationship with, with Sarai, saying that she was his sister, when in fact she was his wife. And so because of that one, one sin, you know, your whole generation after, you can be affected. Hallelujah. Genesis I'm sorry exes. Exodus 34 and 7 says, you know, God visits the iniquity of the children of the Father on the children and, and the children's children. That's Exodus 34. Seven says, God visits the iniquity of the fathers on the children and on the children's children. So our curse is constant and can be generational. And, and this is such a big topic, you know, we're just going to brace through it today. But this is a topic worth studying because it will help you and it will help your family. It will help you. A curse opens a continuous door because of sin for the enemy to have access to someone and their lineage. And let's talk about this a little bit, you know, because I have had people in my ministry who would have come for prayer, who would have come for counseling. And it's unfortunate that some of these individuals, when you get to the bottom of it, they have. And sometimes, as we say again, this is coming from generations, so they have learned it from the from their fathers. The fathers have learned it from their father. So this is coming down. And sometimes the. The children now don't even understand why they're continuing with these altars and continuing with these deities and all of this stuff. But they're just, oh, well, Mommy had given it to me, so I'm gonna just keep it and I'm gonna, you know, continue with it and doing the things. You know, sometimes they have to do things every year to maintain these deities and these altars and so forth. And we'll come to those things a little later on, you understand? But sometimes they don't even understand why they're doing these things. Oh, but, oh, but Mommy was doing it, so I'm gonna continue to do it. Daddy was doing it, Grandpa was doing it, so I'm going to continue to do it. And so the curse continues. Some people have these altars and so forth to bring money and wealth into their families. And we'll come to some of those things later on. I'm bringing it up now because. Because we need to understand why sometimes the curses remain constant and generational. If you're not willing to give up a thing, that thing is going to continue. So if, for an example, you know, there's an altar in place that is bringing you wealth, that is bringing you money or whatever, you're not. It's very unlikely that now you're a child of God that you're going to want to give it up. Very unlikely that you're going to want to give up that altar. Am I correct? Am I correct? Right. If there is something in place that they told you, they told you, oh, this is to protect you. So, you know, these demonic entities or the demonic, you know, the witches and wizards and whatever, you know, when the people go to them, they give them beads and, and figurines and all of these different things. I have. I was praying for a young woman in the Caribbean and she was wearing this bead around her waist. It has a little bag on it with cushaments. I don't know of all these different things. And she says to me that, you know, she never takes it off unless she goes to take a shower. I've seen people wearing them in their cars. People have them in their homes, all of these different things. And again, I'm going to emphasize the fact that people don't even understand the power, the holes. People sometimes don't understand. Sometimes they don't even understand what they have to do. Because let's say your great grandmother had put this. This, this Alter in place, right? Or. Or have this thing in place, you know, but the Bible says never bringing a curse thing into your home. But we'll come to that later on, right? And. And now it's passed down to you two, three generations later. You don't even know what to do. Because sometimes they may not even explain what you have to do to maintain whatever is supposed to. What it's supposed to produce. You don't even know what you are supposed to do. And so you find all of these things happening in your home, all of these things happening in your life, and you're wondering, Lord, what is going on? What is going on, right? This one is getting sick. This one is can't keep a job. I got a call last night at 10:30. You know, the wife is crying. She says, you know, please help my husband, because I don't know what is going on. Because every time he gets a job, he will work for three months and then he loses that job. I says, well, why is he losing the job? One said it was poor performance. The other one says this. And I mean, it makes no sense. The man has a degree in engineering. How is it that he's. And he's not performing right? So you know right away that there is a curse there. Something is, something is working in his life that he can't provide for his family, right? So maybe a curse of poverty, a curse that you know is in place, that his destiny will never be fulfilled. A curse of divorce. Because that's what the wife is saying to me last night, I'm going to divorce him. And she's crying and I said, you know, your, your. Your family would not be disrupted in Jesus name. You know, we're gonna ask and pray that God will intervene in your situation. And sometimes, you know, these curses. Not sometime, every time, unless these curses are broken, you know your family is going to be disrupted. Hallelujah. Continuous curses. So a curse opens a continuous door because of sin for the enemy to have access to someone and their lineage. This sin can be done by a person who is under a curse. Their parents or forefathers, as I said before, or their leaders. And this is a whole lesson in itself. Hallelujah. This here is a whole lesson in itself. It says the same can be done by a person who is under the curse, Their parents or forefathers or their leaders. And a curse bring constant failure, constraints, constant sickness, constant poverty, constant brokenness. You constantly cannot get ahead in your life. Let the only constant in your life be God's grace. That surpasses all understanding. Let the constant be in your life Healing and breakthrough and victory in Jesus. Name not no sickness and poverty and all of the things that comes with curses and, and the devil. So when you see this kind of constant in your life or, or others, you should begin to consider that a curse may be an operation. You know, start thinking God, you know, what is going on in my life. Give me clarity of, of this stuff. A curse can be an individual, a family, a group, a city, people or people, group or ethnicity or a nation. So a curse is not just about a single person or just a family. It can be groups of people. It can be city, a whole city of people. As I explained that before, true testimony of a young man who now became a Christian. He was in their cult before and he had. He's given us this testimony of how he was in charge of these territories. An entire nation can be on. Nothing is happening, nothing is progressing. So this is especially true of nations that are adulterous. Curses can often. Curses can and often are generational, continuing from one generation to the next. And you see these things playing out day after day after day. And my job for the last, I don't know, 15, 20 years have been to try to help people to start speaking positively over their lives. As I said, not just because your mother had had this sickness, that you have to have it too. Not because your father did this, that you have to do it too. Your own individual God could. The Bible says, you know, in the book of Psalms that God created you individually. He numbered the here on your head. He has given you a destiny. He has given you vision and a purpose. He knows your inward parts. And in that lesson, it didn't say that you know that you're still attached to your mother's womb. He said he, he knows you, and in him you live and you move and you have your being in Christ Jesus. You live, you move and you have your being. So yes, you can be free from all that the generations before you are currently is doing or, or the situation that they're in. But you have to read the scriptures and you have to stand in the word of God. So we see in Exodus 38, 3, 5 that adultery will cause a generational curse for three to four generations. And it reads, thou shalt have not a gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above or that is in the earth beneath or that is in the water under the earth. So those things that the, the coven Master have given you just know you need to throw them out because any kind of griven image that is created, you know, God is not pleased. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them. For I, the Lord God, thy God. I'm a jealous God. Worship the Lord only and him alone. So shall you serve. Visiting the iniquities of the Father upon the children unto the third and the fourth generation to them that hate me. So when you bow down to these idols, God see it as. As a threat, you know. So you have to make sure if you're trusting God, that you trust him and you worship him only. The sin of your great great grandparents, and you may not even have known their names maybe affecting you. Let me tell you something I don't even know. We're talking here about great great grandparents. I don't even know my grandparents because they both pass. All of them passed before I was even born. I think it was only my dad's mom that I probably met. I was very young, maybe I met her twice, but I was very, very young because we didn't live in the same area. But all of the other ones, I never even. I never even knew their names. I never even know what they look like because at those times we didn't have pictures and, and cameras and all of that to take pictures of these, these individuals. So I won't even know what. I don't know what their names are. I have no idea. Or what their lineage was. I don't know. And all of the people who would have been able to tell me, they have passed on too. So you see how this can play out unless you trust God, you give him your life and you ask him to break these things. You know, your life can really be a mess because you have no idea who has caused what, what their lives were about, what things they did. Like you have no idea. You don't know. So Exodus 34:7 reaffirms this truth and it reads, keeping mercy for thousands. Forgiving iniquity and transgressions and sin. And that will by no means clear the guilty. Visiting the iniquity of the Father upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and the fourth generation. So yeah, you have to clear your generations, you have to clear your children to make sure this curse is broken. You have to cut your families, you know, over their lives for generations to come. You know, I started this prayer chain with my sisters back in the Caribbean, and we pray up to the fifth, 50th generation. Look, 50th generation will come when we are long gone. We will be long gone by then, but at least these children will be covered for. For that many generations to come. Amen. Hallelujah. Curses are real and they will affect a person, even if they're ignorant of the fact that they exist or if they don't believe that they exist. How a person feels about is irrelevant. And they will still affect you if you have legal doors open for them to operate in your life. Let me tell you something. A couple years ago, I was vacationing again back there in the islands, and. And this family had come down from England and they had brought their children. She had two. Two little girls and a little boy. And so the. The neighbor was very friendly. You know, she came and she. The. The family from England wanted to go to the beach for beach day. And so they said they had a little boy, the neighbors. And she says, oh, well, you know, he wanted to go. So she said, I will take him. I think he was like 4 or 5. And so the lady said, it's no problem. I will take him to the beach with us. Let me tell you something. They took that child to the beach, and unfortunately, whatever happened, that little boy drowned. He drowned it in the. On the beach that day. Let me tell you, that mother went ballistic, which is understandable. She just lost her child. And she said that day, you are not going to return to England. I'll make sure I see to that. The lady was there for two weeks. True story. And I look at that story each and every day, and I said, wow. Because I attended that funeral. And that lady, the neighbor said to the lady that came from England, I would make sure you don't return. You killed my son, she said, you killed my son. I'll make sure. And now you have your children that you can hug every day. I'm gonna make sure that you don't return to England if it's the last thing I do. My fellow brethrens, it wasn't even a. A couple of days after that, out of nowhere, this lady from England took in ill at her house. She didn't even make it to the hospital. Up to today, they don't know what happened to her. They took an autopsy and it was inconclusive. But we buried that lady. She did not return to England. And she had two little girls. I mean, the little girls at the time was like what, seven? I think the oldest one is like 12. And then she had a. A little baby son. But that neighbor didn't care she said, you killed my child, and I'm gonna make sure you don't return. And that's what she did. She put a curse on this woman and she. I mean, she passed away instantly. And you see, sometimes the fear could open. Open doors, as we'll come to that later on too, right, because that. That neighbor, she was angry, which, you know, as I said, the grief and all of that. But she said, you killed my son. I'mma take your life. I'mma take your life. And unfortunately, we. We buried that lady. You know, her husband had to come down from England, and it was such a devastating thing that everybody was so shocked. Like, we were just amazed that something like this can happen this way. The. The unforgiveness wasn't there. The forgiveness wasn't there. The unforgiveness took over that lady and she took that lady's life. She took that lady's life. You know, she didn't care that she had young children too. You know, she had three young children and her husband, you know, that. That needed her, but she didn't care about that. You took my child life. And, you know, some accidents happen, right? But when you're angry. Oh, anyhow, let's move on. So can a Christian be under a curse? When we look at Deuteronomy 27 and 28, we identify that the people who would fall under the curses being listed are God's covenant people. And again, I will always go back to Abraham. And I mean, he was. He was such a great guy, right? But, you know, he lied to Pharaoh saying that Sarai was his sister covenant man. And sometimes that one lie, you know, gives an open door. At the time, it seemed innocent, you know, it seemed justified. But it's an open door. God give his people instructions how to avoid being cursed. Yet the choice to obey or not to obey is that of a Christian. The choice is yours, whether you're going to obey what God says or you or you're not going to obey. So we see that Christians who are disobedient to the word of God can find themselves under curse. And, wow, we have so many people in the Bible who we can fall back on. But as I said, later on, we'll. We'll go through some of those. So let's see the fact that it is that. Can. Can this be true? You know, Christian. Can a Christian be under a curse? So let's talk about Judas. Was he a Christian? Was he cursed for his betrayal of Jesus? I would say that the answer is yes to both of Those questions. Judas was there with Jesus doing good, and then he sold out our Lord for coins. So yes, he was under curse. Mark 14:21 gives us some insight using the keywords here, woe. And it reads, the Son of man indeed goes, and it is written of him, but water to that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed. Good word for that man, if he heard never, if he was never born, if he had never been born. The Greek word for war is ow, meaning to ex, meaning an exclamation of grief or woe. The American Heritage Dictionary of the English language defines woe as deep sorrow, grief, misfortune, calamity. This is indicative of the result of a curse. So it bears to reason that Judas was cursed because of his betrayal of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. And then you, you know the story, you know what happened to him. [01:02:49] Speaker B: You. [01:02:49] Speaker A: Know what happened to Judas. Okay, so biblical curses causes for a curse. In Deuteronomy 27:15-26, we have a list of 12 things that a person or people can be cursed for doing. Pastor has also included a list of seven more additional reasons for a curse. So let's talk about them. So Deuteronomy 27:15-26, it says, cursed be the man that make it any graven, a molded image and abomination unto the Lord, the work of the hands of the craftsman, and puts it in a secret place. And all the people shall answer and say, amen. We're saying this lightly, but you'll be shocked and amazed of the amount of people that is walking around with these graven images in their handbags, on their bodies, in their vehicles, in their homes, under their beds, all of this stuff, right? Curse be he that set alight by his father or his mother. And all the people shall say amen. Bible says to honor your mother and the father and your father, because you know this is right. And that doesn't mean that they have to be excellent people, but it's just the law of the Lord that we, you know, have to follow. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be the he that removes his neighbor's landmark. So you move your boundaries to taking more of your neighbor's land. Yes, you're going to be cursed in your generation. You're going to be cursed because that land don't belong to you. So why are you taking, you know, your neighbor's land? And you know it's, it doesn't belong to you. And I see again, we go back to the Caribbean, people do this all the Time. I mean, my own family is going through that right now where the neighbor just took in a whole quarter, like a whole quarter acre and says, oh, your mom give it to me. Like, okay, where's the paperwork? No paperwork. All right. So yeah, you'll be cursed. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that maketh the blind to wander out of the way. So if you see a blind man coming in, and especially if you see danger and you don't help him, yeah, you're going to be cursed. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that perverts the judgment of strangers, fatherless and widows. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that lied with his father's wife because he uncovers his father's skirt. And all the people shall say amen. Right. Don't mess with your. I mean that's just an abomination. Self explanatory. Curse be he that lieth with any manner of beasts. And all the people shall say Amen. Now this line with beast is a thing on the Internet now, huh? Curse. But he that lied his with his sister and the daughter of his father and the daughter of his mother, incest. And all the people shall say amen. Curse be he that lied with his mother's mother in law. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that smites his neighbor secretly. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. See, that person may not know, but God knows. Yes, curse be he. And all the people shall say Amen. Curse me he that confirms not all the word of of this law to do them. And other people shall say Amen. So let's examine each reason for these curses verse by verse. So verse 15 tells us that a person will be cursed for idolatry. This includes bringing idols into your home. Again, I say you don't understand what the consequence of doing these things may do because it's not only going to affect you, it's going to affect your entire family, your entire household for generations to come. And sometimes you have these things in your home. Pray you don't forget that they're there and then you're moving on. You see all this disruption happening in your family and in your home and you're wondering what's going on. But sometimes you may not even remember that you have brought that thing into your house. I pray that would never be the situation in Jesus name. Many have the little Buddhas, statues of f d false Deities in various cultures. Aztec, Inca or Polynesian gods, right? Voodoo dolls, African statues f false daties and mask in their homes causing their homes to be cursed. You find that, you know, you can't get along with your children, you can't get along with your spouse. There's hardship, okay? Things will be go doing good this, this month, next month, everything go back crazy as I said. Like that call I received last night, the same thing. She's saying, you know, things will be fine for a month or two and then boom, everything goes way back. And she says like I can't get ahead because it seems like, you know, I do well for a couple of months and then I go right back to where I started. Sometimes it even gets worse from where she started. In today's society, some have moved from graven and molten idols to human idols and things including jobs and families. You know, where we worshiping these celebrities and, and all of these people and things. We, we, our jobs become idols. We spend more time on the job and sometimes even if our spouse or our child is sick, we would rather go to the job than to take care of them. You have to, you have to make time for your family. You got to make time and make sure you don't have that job. Become an idol in your life because to then tomorrow you lose your job, you lose your identity, you lose who you are. But when you are in Christ, you know, the job is just something that sustains your, your, your life and sometimes gives you purpose. But don't make it an idol in your life. So to better understand the application of this text of scripture today we must define idolatry. So what is idolatry? The Miriam Webster's Collegiate Dictionary 10th edition states that it is the worship of a physical object as a God. It is also immoderate x exceeding or going past just usual or suitable bounds attached to or devotion to something. So for any of an example, put it in simple terms. You see like these young people go to a, a concert with, with one of these rappers or singers or whatever and they pass out. That's how devoted they are to, to these people. They pass, literally pass out. Just even seeing them, you know, a football player, they pass out, right? That kind of devotion. So this is how some sports fan, music fans, etc act towards stars. They're excessive and go beyond suitable bounds regarding their devotion to a team, a person or organization. The Hebrew word for idolatry is tayafem meaning a family idol or image. Teraphim. Idolatry is the worship of anyone or anything other than the, the true and the living God. This includes the worship of of gods in religious, in religions that are not of the triune God of people, stars, politicians, all people, animals or things. So if you're not worship the true living God, yeah, you could be living under curse. So adultery or worship of false gods and falls religions is a great sin because it exalts the creation. Fallen angels masquerading as gods, small gods, people, animals, the earth, the moon and the stars, star readers, stargazers above the true creation, the true creator. So you believe in those things and you know, the star races and the star gazes and so forth. The, the. The palm readers and all that before you believe in the true living God, creator of heaven and earth and all things. For this we can deduce that even in America, although we may not be bowing down to physical statues, we yet are an adulterous nation. We worship money, people with gifts and talents. Our jobs, our spouses are those that we are interested in. We worship material things like houses and cars, etc, we put so many things above the and before God, expecting God to yet have to bless us, even though we have opened the door to a curse. And a perfect example of this, you know, you pray and ask God to give you a job and he has given you the job. And now you stop going to church. Because now I have arrived, I don't need those people anymore. And you forget it's not the people you're serving, it's the true living God who has blessed you with that job in the first place. You stop going to church, you stop worshiping, stop praying. Because now you got what you want. So you don't need God anymore. And I pray you will repent. Because all that that you have can be taken away in a second. The Book of Job. What is an abomination? The Hebrew word for abomination is Toba, meaning something disgusting and abhorrence, especially idolatry of an idol, custom, authentic thing. This is a terrible sin in the eyes of God. And it will be their permanent sin. The permanent sin in the last days. There are many who don't believe that adultery can be the worship of people and images, statues, dolls, posters. Yet in the book of Revelation 13:13-15 we see that it is the sin that the false prophet shall do exalting the Antichrist. And it reads, and he does great wonders so that he make it fire. Come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men and deceiveth them that dwell in the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast, saying to them that dwell on the earth that they should make an image to the beast which had the wound by the sword and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast. And that image of the beast should be both, should both speak and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed. In other words, they have to worship the beast or else they will be killed. And the Greek word for image is in this text of scripture is icon. So I'm saying that correctly. Iconic, meaning likeness, stature, representation, resemblance or image. And many of us have become idolaters through watching and exalting the images and likeness of people that we watch in television and in movies. Beyonce, Rihanna, you know, all of those things. Jay Z, right. They have become more than entertainers to us, for we grow to love and adore them. This includes sports players. Verse 16. It tells us that the person is cursed for setting a light by his father and mother. What does that mean? The Hebrew word for life in this text of scripture is koala, meaning to hold in contempt, despised, lightly esteemed people. Occurs for dishonoring one's parents. I do believe that this includes a person's spiritual parents or leaders. So many today disrespect both natural and spiritual parents. And when we, when we go to homes today, I don't know if everybody goes to homes. I do. And I can tell you, majority of the times I have to intervene because of the disrespect of these children. Even the little ones. Even yesterday, a three year old, I have to sit her down and talk to her. Like, you don't disrespect your grandmother like that. And you know, children live what they learn. You know, we have these, these TVs and iPads, you know, and phones, babysitting our children. I sat there and I watch her watching Bluey. And it's the same thing that Blue is doing to the parents. Screaming and yelling and disrespecting, don't touch me, don't, don't talk to me. And all of this stuff. And it's the same thing she's bringing to the house and disrespecting her grandparents and yelling and screaming and all of this stuff. Not even understanding that, you know, those things are wrong. And so the Bible says, you know, you have to discipline your children. You got to take time with the kids, don't always just. And the grandchildren. Because I know for us here, you Know, women have young children, but we have grandchildren and so forth, and children that's going to, you know, come in our care through the ministry and all of that. And so we have to sit them down and help them to understand that respect begins at home, that you respect your, your, your elders. And sometimes that goes both ways, right? Sometimes we still have to teach the, the elders how to respect, you know, everyone involved, including these children, because they have, they have feelings too. You don't speak down to them. You don't yell at them because they're kids and say bad things about them because they're children. Amen. Hallelujah. So you know our spiritual parents as well as those in leadership over them because we do that, we open up doors in their lives to failure, lack and brokenness. Sometimes the things you will say to a person, my God, it breaks them for life. They stop going to church. They stop doing the things that, that used to motivate them before. Pray for your spiritual leaders. Pray for them. Pray for the people who has leadership over you because they also need our prayers. It's not easy when you have a ministry. You know, like people are constantly coming to you for prayer and leadership. But sometimes you, the leader, don't have that. You don't have anybody to go to, to, you know, reinforce and repelish, you know, all that. Sometimes you're going through a hard time, sometimes there might be sickness going on, sometimes that you have problems in your own home too. And you know, your leaders also need prayers. They need your prayers. They have their own brokenness going on inside of them too. They need you. They need our prayers. Amen. So often this can be done through actions or words of disrespect. The things you say because you're angry, the things you say because you can't get what you want. King David's son Absalom is a typical example of this. He tried to overthrow his father by winning the hearts of the people. Yet in his action, he was caught up in a tree by his hair, personal glory and killed. And he hung as he hung from the tree in, in 2nd Samuel 18:8 to 17. Hallelujah. So if we cannot honor natural parents, how can we honor God, who is our Father, the one we can't see? We are living in a time wherein children call the authorities on their parents for chastising them and do not respect basic instructions, right? They, they don't want to listen to what the parents are saying. They will call the authorities because they know the, the authorities will back them and not The. And so they get the upper. Children getting the upper hand in the home. And parents can't have a say. They don't have a say because if you. If you say anything to me, I'm going to call the police. So I'm going to do whatever I want. Verse 17 tells us that a person can be cursed for moving landmarks or boundaries. The Hebrew word for landmark is meaning territory, border, enclosed, limit, quarter space. It is stealing land by moving the bounds or the boundaries. Is our nation guilty of this? Look what is happening right now as we speak. We have moved the landmarks from the American Indians. Whenever they were moved to one part of the country, if the land became valued or wanted, they would move the bounds of what they had and relocate them. So every time that they will move to a place, they make it their own, you know, make it. Make it good and live with their families. That armies will go out, take that land and sound. This can also be applied to someone stealing something that belongs to another. That is similar to what King David did with Bathsheba. He stole another man's wife and had the man sent to his death in Jesus name. But I want to just suggest here that when we. God forbid, as I said, you know, here, we thank God because we know that majority of us were burned off now, but there might be people who might be hearing this lesson later on. And if you're there. Oh, it's not. Okay, let me try to change it. [01:23:59] Speaker D: No, you're still a little. Yeah, you're not coming in clear. [01:24:14] Speaker B: Can you hear me better now? [01:24:15] Speaker A: Is it better? No, I'm not sure. [01:24:23] Speaker B: Thing was happening, so I'm gonna have to just. [01:24:25] Speaker A: Okay. [01:24:25] Speaker D: It's only happening when you. [01:24:27] Speaker B: I don't know how that's gonna work, but let me try. [01:24:30] Speaker D: Is it happening better? [01:24:35] Speaker B: Yeah, it's not the volume. I think something is happening. I don't know. [01:24:38] Speaker A: You're frozen now. [01:24:41] Speaker B: Yeah, just hang on one second. [01:24:43] Speaker A: Sure. [01:24:43] Speaker B: And to put it on speaker. So I don't know how, you know, how it's gonna sound. Is it better now? [01:24:51] Speaker D: Yeah. [01:24:52] Speaker A: Yes, much better. [01:24:54] Speaker B: So the headphones are not on. So should I go back a little bit or. [01:25:01] Speaker D: Yes, go back about. [01:25:02] Speaker A: Yes. Yeah. Okay. [01:25:05] Speaker B: Verse 17. I'll go back to verse 17. All right, just hang on a second. I'll make sure this is right. All right, so verse 17 tells us that a person can be cursed from moving landmarks or boundaries. And again, I said in. In the Caribbean, in Africa, this happens every day even as we speak. It even affects my own family, where the Neighbors have incorporated a lot of my mom's land because nobody's there, right? So the field, nobody is seeing. And then when the people, the evaluators will go and says, wait, well, this is a whole argument. They want to hurt you. They want to do all of this stuff, right? But the Bible says that, you know, it's a sin, it's a curse to do that. You can't take people's land that is not yours. So the Hebrew word for landmark is Gabriel, meaning territory, border, enclosed limit, quarter space. It is stealing land by moving the boundaries. So, you know, okay, like the young man, he wanted to put on an extra building on the back of his house. So he took in the land that wasn't his and actually built a structure on it. You. You can't do stuff like that with things that don't belong to you. And the question becomes, is our nation guilty of this? Right here in America says, we have moved the landmarks from the American Indians. Whenever they were moved to one part of the country, if that land became valued or wanted, we would move the bounds of what they had and relocate them. So, okay, they move into one area, they clean it up, they make it theirs, and then we would move in, because now it's nice and we want that. I want. Look what is happening right now in our country. Isn't that what. Isn't that why America is getting involved in areas that they shouldn't? This can also be applied to someone stealing something that belongs to another. This is similar to what King David did with Bathsheba. He stole another man's wife and had the man sent to his death. Can you imagine? And this is happening in our community, in our homes, in our communities, in our nation. Each and every day, people are having extramarital affairs, breaking their marriages, breaking their homes, taking another man's wife, taking another man's husband. We see the results of this by the death of David and Bathsheba's first child and causing the sword to never be taken from David's house or family. It says, never be taken. That sword will live on forever in that house. That's sin, that. That curse. We pray that this will never be a portion in Jesus name. 2nd Samuel 20:12. I'm sorry. 2nd Samuel 12:1 to 20. That's 2nd Samuel 1:12:1 to 20 gives us the details. And it reads, and the Lord sent Nathan on to David. And he came unto him and said unto him, there were two men in one city, the one rich and the other poor. The rich man had exceeding many Flocks and herds. But the poor man had nothing save one little ear lamb, which he had brought and nourished up, and it grew up together with him. He was his pet and with his children. And it did eat of his own meat and drank of his own cup and lay in his bosom and was on to him as a daughter, you know, a little pet, right? And there came a traveler unto the rich man, and he spared to take one of his own flock. He had a flock. Now this. This poor man had one. Your lamb. This man had a flock, but he did not even take one animal from his flock, from his own herd. To. To. To. To dress for the. The wayfaring man that was come unto him. He refused to take one animal from his flock. And he took the poor man's lamb. He took the poor man's pet, the one little thing that he had. He took it and killed it. And, you know, made food for the man that was come to him. So very sad. And David's anger was greatly kindled against the man. And he said to Nathan, as the Lord liveth, that man that had done this thing shall surely die. And he shall restore the lamb fourfold because he did this thing and because he had no pity. And Nathan said to David, thou art the man. Thus said the Lord God of Israel, I anoint the king over Israel. And I delivered thee out of the hand of Saul. And I give thee thy. And I give thee thy master's house and thy master's wives unto thy bosom and give thee the house of Israel and of Judah. And if that had. And if that had been too little, I would moreover had given thee unto thee such and such things. Wherefore thou hast despised the commandment of the Lord to do evil in his sight. Thou hast killed Uriah the Hittite with the sword and has taken his wife to be thy wife and. And has slain him with the. I mean, he has everything. He has everything. But is not still not yet content. And he chose to take another man's wife. So very sad. So very, very sad. Killing with the sword of the children of Ammon. Now, therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house. Because you thou has despised me and has taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be thy wife. Thus said the Lord. Behold, I was rise up evil against thee out of thine own house. And I will take thy wise before thine eyes and give them unto thy neighbor. And he shall lie with thy wise in the sight of the sun. For thou this it secretly Uriah secretly. But I will do this thing before all Israel and before the sun. And David said unto Nathan, I have sinned against the Lord. And Nathan said unto David, the Lord also had put away thy sin. Thou shalt not die. How be it? Because by this deed thou has given great occasion. Thou has given great occasion because of that deed to the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme. The child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. Says not only that, he talked to my wife. You know, they had a child together. And now you give reason for people to talk about this family and talk about the Lord. You know, that's the. That's the greater part. Now you give people to talk about the church and to talk about the ministry and to talk about the. And to blaspheme against for a living God because of the thing you're doing. And now he says, your child shall die that Charlie made out of sin. It will die. And Nathan departed unto his house. And the Lord struck the child. And Uriah's wife bear unto David. The Lord struck the child that Uriah's wife born to David. And it was very sick. David therefore besought God for the child. And David fasted and went in and lit all night upon the earth. And the elders of his house arose and went to him to rise him up from the earth. But he would not was in depression, neither did he eat bread with them. And it came to pass on the seventh day that the child died. And the servants of David failed to tell him that. That the child was dead. For this said, behold, while the child was yet alive, we spoke unto him, and he would not listen unto our voice. How will he then vex himself if we tell him that the child is dead now? You know he's going to get angry because he didn't listen before. But to try to talk to him, right? To tell him to eat and to do all the things that he needed to do. So they're afraid now he's gonna get so angry. So they're afraid to tell him now the child is dead. But when David saw that his servant whispered, David perceived that the child was dead. Therefore, David said unto his servants, is the child dead? And they said, he is dead. Then David arose from the earth and washed and anointed himself and changed his apparel, his clothes and came unto the house of the Lord. But he worshiped. And then he came to his own house. And when he required, they said, they set bread before him. And he did eat, taking something that he did eat. So Let me stop there for a minute before I move on. [01:34:50] Speaker A: Right. [01:34:53] Speaker B: Disobedience. Disobedience. And the child did die. The child that died as. As the word proclaim. So taking something that belongs to another will bring a curse unto you. And I have seen people do it. Oh, over and over and over again. You cannot walk into somebody's house, disrupt their home, take their spouse, and think it's okay with you. It's not going to be okay with you. And I have seen people do it countless times, and they think it's okay. Well, if you were a better woman, he wouldn't be with me. And the man would find all sorts of excuses for bringing in another woman into the home or for breaking that relationship or for breaking that covenant of marriage. It's not going to be well with you. It's not going to be well with. With that home. Oh, I met her on the job. So now you. You leave your wife. You, you know, you. You met this young woman on the job, and, oh, she's wonderful. And then you divorce your wife and find out later on, oh, my God, she wasn't as sweet as I thought she would have been. Because, you know, that woman who you had at home, she loved you, she cared about you. But you couldn't see that because here it is. You. You're seeing something. Look, the grass is not always greener on the other side. That person at work, you know, is just has to be dressed up every day. So that's what you're seeing every day. Smell good, look good. Because that work, that's what they had to do. And the conversations you may have had, if you would sit and have them with your spouse, you will find out it will be much more relevant because that person at work is not seeing what is going on in the house. They can't see that. And they will only believe what you tell them. But we'll move on. So this curse can also be applied in verse 24. The text of Scripture isn't, you know. Yeah. You can't take something that doesn't belong to you and think it's okay with you. In verse 18, people are cursed for misleading the blind. But before I even go there, you know, there's something that occurred to me that that young child that they have created through the sin, that child was innocent. But it didn't negate the fact that it still died. So we see curse coming down generations, Right? It didn't negate the fact that that child still died. So I wanted to keep that in mind. People are cursed for misleading the blind people. I believe that this includes all people. I believe that this includes all people that are helpless. I guess it should say I must also declare that this can be applied to people who are spiritually blind. No people leading you astray. It's important to read the word of God for yourself. Study to show yourself approved, rightfully dividing that word of God so you can know what the Lord says for yourself as well. Amen. Amen. When we purposely mislead the blind, both naturally and spiritually, for their hurt or to take advantage of them or for a laugh, we are cursed. Beware if you are called to be a Christian leader who misleads those who are blind spiritually. God will hold you accountable. God will hold you accountable. Don't mislead people in wrong doctrine in the ways that is not pleasing to God. In verse 19, people are cursed for not being fair in judgment to a stranger. The fatherless and widows. There are some people who take advantage of those who are helpless, who won't have, who don't have a husband, father, or someone was trying to stand up for them, as well as those who don't know the rules or customs of a new place because they're strangers. I have seen men take advantage of women because they feel that, that we're women. Not because we're stupid or, or no, just because we're women. You go to the mechanic, they charge you twice the price they would charge a male. You're trying to build a house that will rip you off because they think you don't know what you're saying or what you don't know. Sometimes you're even in the ministry and people, because you're a woman to try to tell you that, you know, miss, you know, because they feel you don't have strength. You know, I have seen individuals in homes who, okay, there is something that needs to be done in the house and they will summons a male to come and, and fix it for them. And they want to take advantage of that woman just because they feel that she's a woman. Don't do that because God will hold you accountable. Those who take advantage of these kinds of people work for fall under curse. In today's society, we have telephone marketers who call the seniors of our society to get them to buy things that are no good, or they try to get them to donate money as a scam. We had a lady, she was probably in her 70s, not too long ago, I think it was like two weeks ago. And there's this young But I hope it's a guy because the voice on the phone sounds like a guy. But these days they're using all kind of equipment to change their voices. But the long and short of it, he cleaned out her entire bank account. And the, the, the bank manager was saying, why are you taking out all this money? She says, he needs help, he need us right away. Because whatever is happening to him over there in Africa, it cleans out the whole entire bank account. A 70 year old. These people will be cursed. Even though they may feel that it is a, it is a job that they're hired to do, you'll still be cursed. In verse 20, we are told that people are cursed for laying with or having sexual relations with their father's wife. Well, that's ex self explanatory, right? You don't disrespect your father's bed. I mean that's just, that's just crazy. Ham shamed his father Noah by uncovering his father's nakedness, looking at his father naked instead of covering him up. And this is man looking. It's not being, it's looking. And because of this, his son Canaan was cursed to be a servant. In Genesis 9:2027 in verse 21 we are told that a person is cursed for having sexual relations with animals is quite perversion. And right now it's a thing on the Internet. Not only on the Internet, people are raping animals. God forbid people are having sexual relations with animals. God did not make man to have sexual relations with animals or other men or women or with other women. Leviticus 20:13 says, if a man also lie with mankind as he lived with a woman. Both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them. Perversion is sexual behavior. In sexual behavior will bring about judgment or a curse. Verse 22 we are told that a person is cursed for having sexual relations with their sisters. Incest. I've had a. One of my clients, her brother had sexual. And she was only a little child. He was quite a teenager already and he released a sexual transmitted disease to her for life. She was only a child. So now her entire life, she can't have children, she can't have relation, she can't have a husband. I mean she may have a husband or she may not be able to have relations with her husband. The further man moved from the pureness of man's gene gene pool that they had originally, the more issues they began to have with relations in close family proximity. I'VE also had cases where fathers are having sexual intercourse with their children, with their daughters and sons, an abomination to the Lord. And I will give this example often in this lesson during this course. That very close friend of mine and the father of the children, he was a director at ACS there in Brooklyn and he was having relations with his. He was the director of ACS taking people's children away and he was molesting his own daughters. And at the end of that case they found out it was not only his own daughter who was molesting, but he was molesting his assistant's daughter as well when she would come for sleepovers. An abomination. In the beginning, we know that Adam and Eve's children, brothers and sisters, married and have had children. Yet sin over time began to cause problems in the gene pool. In verse 23, we are told that a person is cursed for having a sexual relation with their mother in law. And that itself is self explanatory. Like I can't even imagine you will have intercourse with your mother in law. Verse 24, we are told that a person is cursed for smiting or striking or slaughtering or slaying or murdering or killing their neighbor in secret. Self explanatory. As I have pointed out in verse 17, King David was also guilty of this when he had Uriah slain by sending him to the most heated battlefield to be killed. Today we often kill our brothers and sisters in Christ with our tongues or what we say about them or killing their character. And we do that to killing ministries. Do you know how many pastors and, and ministers are giving up today because of what people have said to them? Pray for your leaders, pray for your ministries. In verse 25 we are told that the person is cursed for taking pay to kill an innocent person. So yeah, just give me a few dollars, I'll take him off, take him. [01:47:01] Speaker A: Off your hands, right? [01:47:04] Speaker B: But you will be hurt. It's not, you're not gonna go free. In verse 26, we're told that the person is cursed for not supporting the words of the law and doing them. This is basically simple in that if you did not agree with and obey the word of God, you will be cursed. That's why the word of God is there for us as a guide. Amen. Amen. And additional curses. People are cursed for preaching an alternative gospel. Galatians 1:7 to 10. Look, today the young people have their own gospel going on because they don't want to read and, and stay with, with the Bible said, oh that was written by an old white man. So they want to have their own alternative gospel. And so it is important for us to bring to them the true word of God. Okay, Says people are cursed for preaching an alternative gospel, which is not another. But there be some that troubles you. It really, really you're wondering what, like where did they find this kind of teaching from. And it prevents. It perverts the gospel of Christ. But through we are an angel from heaven. But though we are an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, that which we have preached unto you, let him be cursed. And we said before, so say I again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be cursed. For I do not persuade men or God, or do I seek to please men. For if I yet please men, I should not be the servant of Christ. People are cursed for causing for cursing Israel and his seed. All Jewish people. Genesis 27:29 says, Let people serve thee and nations bow down to thee. Be lord over thy brethren, and let thy mother's son bow down to thee. Curse be everyone that cursed thee. And blessed be he that blesses thee. It is imperative that you watch what you say about Jewish people. And now, because we are spiritual seed of Abraham, I would be very careful what we say about Christian people. Be careful how you speak about God's people. Be very careful. People are cursed for bringing abomination or idols onto their homes. As we said before. Deuteronomy 7:25-26. The graven images of their God shall ye burn with fire. Thou shalt not desire the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it unto thee, lest thou be snared therein. For it is an abomination to the Lord thy God. Neither shall thou bring an abomination into thine house, lest there be a cursed thing like it. But thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it. For it is a cursed thing. When you bring about abominable things into your home. Thus adulterers, you open an immediate door to the devil to afflict you. And again, I'm gonna say here, it's not only you that this is going to afflict. It's your entire family. So now you see things start happening and you're wondering what's going on, what is happening here. Sometimes you can't even put your finger on it. So this includes bringing things or images into your home through the Internet or television. Also have pictures or statues of false gods or anything else that you worship. You know, everything you watch on TV has to be evil. I mean, you don't know what is. Listen, you know, bring. Put on a worship CD or even on tv. Now you have beautiful worship videos, videos of prayer. Let some of those come into your home as well. It's not every day, every morning, noon and night, all you watch is evil stuff in your home. Over time, that is going to affect you. That is going to affect you. And sometimes, you know, it's very hard again when we're saying husbands wouldn't want to listen to them. Well, I watch what I want to watch. You know, I do what I want to do. And then you bring a curse not only on yourself, but the entire family, having pictures of statues of four gods or anything else that you worship. People are cursed for trusting in man and putting their faith in man's arm or their strength and letting their hearts depart from, from, from the Lord. You know, there's some need that you have and you think God can help you. So you're going to some man, you're going to the, to the ob man, as the people said, the necromancy. You're going to the coven's because maybe they can help you. God can help you. [01:52:40] Speaker A: On behalf of. [01:52:41] Speaker B: The commanding general of this base. And it's a curse. It's an open door you're creating in not only your own life, but also in your family. [01:52:50] Speaker A: Actually, that isn't the start of the story. [01:52:52] Speaker B: Did the many have put their faith in economy and in military might, yet before our eyes we see our economy falling apart and many falling in to find financial disasters. Jeremiah 17, 5, 7 says that said the Lord, cursed be the man that trusted in man and make it flesh his arm, and whose heart departed from the Lord. For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhibit parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord and whose hope is in the Lord. People are cursed for doing the Lord's work deceitfully and for not executing judgment. You know, you see something is going wrong and because it's someone you know or someone you love, then you glance over it, you'll be held accountable as well. Sometimes we think that people who do the Lord's work in the wrong way, lying, stealing, etc. Are getting away with, with it. Don't, don't believe that. For the Lord sees everything that the enemy watches us to see when we step out of the legal way of the Lord. And when we do their process, some people don't do or say what God tells them to do or say for fear of the people, thus not executing God's judgment, bringing a curse upon themselves. So as a minister, you have to be bold. You know, sometimes there are paths you have to take where the Lord is leading you that may not be conducive to what the situation or the people you know they're doing. What does that mean? That means that sometimes God will will send you, like Jonah for an example. Nineveh. He says, go, because those people are not doing right in that city. Jonah said, what? They deserve to be destroyed. I am out of here. He took off, right? But when the Lord is asking you to do a job, don't think he will get away with it. Because you see, he went on that boat, but he got thus far until the storm came. And so the people said, no, something has to be wrong here. Who was responsible for this? And eventually he had to confess. And it is not until that happens that those people even were able to get peace, right? He still had to do the job. So don't run away from what God is asking you to do, you know, don't run away from what God is asking you to do. Jeremiah 48:10 says, cursed be he that does the work of the Lord deceitfully, and cursed be he that keep it back, his sword from the blood. People are cursed for deceiving and giving God their least and corrupt thing and holding back the best for themselves. Says, you know, give your best offering, right, Your first fruits. Malachi 1:13 to 14 says, he said, also, behold what a weariness it is. And he have snuffed at it, said the Lord of hosts. And he brought that which was torn, and the lame and the sick. Thus he brought an offering. Should I accept this from your hands? Said the Lord. But cursed be the deceiver, which had in his flock a male and voweth and sacrifices unto the Lord a corrupt thing. For I am a great king, said the Lord of hosts, and my name is dreadful among the heathen. So don't carry your scrums, so to speak, and the things you don't want unto the Lord, he don't need them. He doesn't need them. And he gets very angry and disappointed when, when we do that, take our best, worship unto him, our best, the best that we could ever have. God deserves that, not what we don't. So an example of that would be, we're not even talking about money now. But you know, don't Let anybody have to force you to worship God, to pray, to read the Word. He never forces us to do any of that. Let that be your free will, offering unto him. You know, every day, you will or not every day, whatever you choose to, that's between you and Him. You know that. You will sit there and honor him, worship him, thank him for the things he has done for you. Live in gratitude, God. I'm just so grateful of who you are in my life. There was a time when you weren't in my life and my life was a mess. I'm so grateful, God. Thank you. I appreciate you, God. You're the King of kings and the Lord of all, creator of heaven and earth, who have made us a little Lord and the angels. You know, you. You sit there and you worship him. You give him your best gratitude, your best praise. We're not even talking about money. And when it comes to money, you know it says that. Look, you have prayed to the Lord to open this business for you. The first money you made should be unto the Lord. He says, bring your first fruits, right? You're writing a book. You, you, you open a business or whatever, you know, get a, you got a job. Let those first fruits be unto the Lord. Let it be a blessing of gratitude and appreciation unto him for blessing you with this job, for blessing you with this business or whatever it is. Give him your best because he deserve it. Amen. Hallelujah. Don't give him what is left over and keeping the best for yourself. This is why our tithes are to be the first part of what we get, for it is often our best of what we should would desire for ourselves. Give God your best. He doesn't need what you don't want. People are cursed for not tithing. Some people feel that tithing is an option and not a command because they pay their tithes when they feel they have money. They in essence curse themselves to not have money to ever tithe because of lack and insufficiency that comes with this curse, right? So give God your best. Malachi 3, 812 says, Will a man rob God yet he have robbed me. But he say, wearing have we robbed God. Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and in offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse, for ye have robbed me even this whole nation. Bring all the tides into the storehouse that there may be meat in my house. And prove me now hearing said the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. And I rebook the devour for your sakes. And he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground, Neither shall your vine cast their fruit before time in the fields, said the Lord of hosts and all nations shall call you blessed, for ye shall be a delight. Some land, saith the Lord. By no means is this an exhaustive list of reasons for cures or for curses. Sorry. But it can give it an insight into why they come upon people. The basic reason is disobedience to God's word. And we just pray as we continue to delve into curses. Curses wow. Has so many levels and I pray you know we are going through this today. Curses the lesson, the teachings are very expensive. So I will pray that you will go over for yourself some of these lessons, you know, some of these scriptures that you can learn for yourself how to help yourself, how to help your families and to how to help yourself generations. And especially as I said again as a a deliverance minister, you really, really need to understand this outright. So when you because people are going to come to you. As I said, this woman called me. It was 10:30 at night. Like I don't even pick up calls at 10:30. But I know if someone is calling that late, then something is happening. So you don't just, you know, know because you don't know if somebody's going to need your help. So you don't just reject people's calls. Sometimes it's not all the time, you'll do it. But you know, you have to have that discernment to say, okay, something has to be wrong. So you know, just show yourself. Read and learn to show yourself approved and keep these things at the forefront of your spirit and your heart. Because when, when people call for help, you have to know exactly how you go and ask the Holy Spirit right away to come in and to help you. Because some of these cases can be complicated and you're going to really need God's grace to help the people who he put in your path to serve. So you know, read and study to show yourself approved and to be able to help yourself. So curses can be broken off of your lives and you can have and live a victorious life. So you in turn then can help others. In Jesus name. God bless you and I hope you have learned something here today. In Jesus name. I turn it back over to Pastor Joe. [02:03:37] Speaker C: Well, praise the Lord. Thank you for that Pastor. Again, if you have any comments, question. [02:03:53] Speaker A: I have no questions. I just know that it's clean cloth, clean cut, a curse Is a curse. [02:03:59] Speaker B: Yes. [02:04:02] Speaker C: That'S right. [02:04:03] Speaker A: And thank you. [02:04:05] Speaker D: That was well done, Pastor Mill. [02:04:07] Speaker A: Well done. [02:04:09] Speaker D: Even though I've heard it before, but you made a few things a little bit clearer. Thank you. [02:04:21] Speaker C: Well, this was part one in a three part series, so there is more, as pastor said, a lot of detail in it. So we'll get into that even further in the next two lessons. Just to say it, you know, understanding curses and then being able to identify what's going on with yourself as well as your household and everyone else around you is, is the root of, of what we're being called to do, which is that we would in essence be delivering people from the, from the curses. [02:05:02] Speaker B: Yeah, yeah. [02:05:03] Speaker C: That's why they work hand in hand. [02:05:07] Speaker B: And let me just say. Well, I think. I don't know if Minister Ingrid was cut off, but. Because it seemed like people have been having trouble today. But let me just say something. And I'm telling you from my own family, I'm from a very large family, okay? So it's 13 of us, okay. Children. And what I can tell you is like, I'm the youngest. So just imagine me having to go back. As I said, I didn't know my grandparents, I didn't know my great grandparents. I don't know what they have done or what was going on. But I can tell you as a young person in my family, like, I had to go back as a minister to help the older ones because you can see the, the curse, you know, going down in their lives and in the lives of their children. And I'm telling you, it's not easy to go back, to have to help the older siblings, right? Because now remember, you're younger than them. Like for an example, my second brother, when I was there last time, I had to like, call him because he was one who would never want to even listen. I remember years ago when my mom was still alive and one of the things my mother would say, she always wanted to have a, like a Thanksgiving prayer meeting for the family. And so I had gone down there and I had summoned everybody, lots of people, and they were all family, right? Lots of people. And he was one of the one. When I called for him for prayer, he ran away. [02:06:51] Speaker A: He literally ran away. [02:06:53] Speaker B: He didn't come. But when I went back and his family, like his children, it's a mess. And so when I went back there the last time, last in May of this year, his wife came and said, you know, he needs help. I said, what do you mean? And she said, he needs help. Like he's sick. Like, you know, he has a big sore in his leg. Like all of these things is going on. And I said to her, well, I don't know if he's gonna come, but ask him to come and see me. But he came. And when he came, you know, I literally had to lead him to repentance. And I said, you know, you have to trust God for your life because it's only then your healing is going to come. He had a big saw on his leg, like you can see the bone. I said, it's only then healing gonna come and breakthrough is going to come in your life. But, you know, he sat there and he listened and I prayed with him and, you know, set him up with the doctors and everything. He did go. And it's only then his healing came. That sore on his leg healed. True story, right? So it's very. It's not easy when the loved ones you have to take care of to break those curses are older than you because, you know, it's especially, you know, in the Caribbean, African stuff it with the males. It's a respect thing, Right. Like a female can go as an authority to talk to a male person older than herself. I don't know if you understand that. [02:08:36] Speaker C: Yes. [02:08:37] Speaker B: Right. So it's very challenging and you have to ask God for grace and to be able to humble yourself too, because again, you know, the male authority in these regions, they are the authority, so to speak. Right. And it's very challenging for a. A female, especially younger female, to go and talk to them. So you have to ask God for grace. But thank God that he came, he listened, and, you know, he was healed. And you have to continue to pray for the curse to be broken over his life and over his children's lives and his generation. And he's not the only one. I'm just using him as a reference, you know, But I have seen how the lives of, you know, a lot of the siblings, especially the children, has turned around and they're doing very well now. So we have to pray. And in one part of the lesson we learned about not carrying out the exact thing that God is asking us to do, the assignment, because, you know, the. We like this person or we don't want to hurt this person. Look, you. You have to be bold and you gotta be able to tell them the way it is. It's only then that they can get the help that they need. We can't sugarcoat things for them because they're not going to be helped that way. That's the word of God, right? So just like the assignment God is giving you, go and release the assignment just the way God is giving you, asking for guidance. And you know that protection, because you need that too as you go that you know, God is with you. You're not going alone, but you have to release it just how God is giving you to be released. And as we go into the lesson, you know, we'll. We'll get deeper into this because as I said, this is a very. It could be complicated, especially, you know, if we don't understand all of the context of it curses. So please come to class and let's delve in together. In Jesus name. [02:11:05] Speaker D: We thank you, Lord God, for what we have heard today and what we have learned today. Lord God, we thank you for the speaker, Lord God. We ask that you touch her, Lord God. From head to toe, Lord God. Bless her, Lord God. Continue to pour into her lor God. So that she may pour out to us, Lord God. Oh, we thank you for today, Lord God. Lord God, continue to bless Pastor Joseph. Lord God, continue to pour into him, Lord God, in the name of Jesus, continue to touch sister Gina. Lord God. And. And Bert. Lord God, in the name of Jesus. Oh, we glorify you. We pr. [02:11:51] Speaker A: We. [02:11:52] Speaker D: We bow down before you, Lord God, for there is no God like you anywhere. In Jesus name we pray. Amen. [02:12:01] Speaker C: Amen. [02:12:02] Speaker A: Amen. [02:12:03] Speaker B: Amen. All right, so God bless you all and I pray that you have a blessed day and a blessed week in Jesus name. Blessed weekend. [02:12:13] Speaker A: Yes, Joy. All right, take care. [02:12:18] Speaker C: Bye bye.
